What is a rally?
A rally is a gathering of Caravan and Motorhome Club members who enjoy weekends away with fun and friendships thrown in. Our rallies enable our members to use their caravans all year round in lovely surroundings at reasonable prices. Our members have the opportunity to make lifelong friendships within our own Centre as well as all the other Centres throughout the UK and beyond. Welsh National Rally
The Welsh National Rally was started in 1948 by the South Wales Centre as a means to get all of the ralliers in its area together to talk and compete in sports.
Originally the South Wales Centre ran the Welsh National Rally in 1952 the Welsh National Rally was officially inaugurated when North Wales Centre was invited by the South Wales Centre to participate in the running of the Welsh National Rally, as each area broke away from the South Wales Centre they were then asked by the South Wales Centre if they would like to participate in the Welsh National Rally and take a turn at running it as there were more ralliers attending each year.
To this day, the Welsh National is still widely attended by members and is organised by a different centre each year. It usually takes place on August Bank Holiday. Unfortunately, the 2021 Welsh National Rally has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
